IVF and reproductive medicine in Israel
Israel is the world leader in IVF cycles per capita and in the share of successful protocols. K.R.V Medical Group works with the reproductive medicine departments at Sheba, Assuta and Herzliya Medical Center. We organize classic IVF, ICSI, preimplantation genetic testing (PGT-A, PGT-M, PGT-SR), donor programs, and oocyte and embryo cryopreservation. The program is tailored to age, history and the causes of infertility.
Why Israel
- According to the Israeli Ministry of Health, the average number of cycles per patient exceeds European figures.
- High quality protocols at IVF labs; embryologists with international certification.
- Access to PGT-A, PGT-M, PGT-SR for couples with genetic risks.
- Donor programs are legally permitted, and under certain conditions — surrogacy.

Frequently asked questions
How much does IVF in Israel cost?▾
One IVF cycle without medication at major Israeli clinics — from $8,500. ICSI — from an additional $1,500. PGT-A — from $550 per embryo. Donor oocyte program — from $18,000. Medication is paid for separately.
What age is considered optimal for IVF?▾
Success rates are highest under 35 — over 45–50% pregnancies per transfer. After 40, the probability drops, and Sheba and Assuta fertility specialists often recommend programs with own or donor oocytes plus PGT-A.
Can donor oocytes be used?▾
Yes. Donor programs are officially permitted and run under Israeli Ministry of Health protocols, with genetic screening and phenotype matching.
What is PGT-A and who needs it?▾
PGT-A is preimplantation genetic testing for aneuploidies. It is recommended for women over 35, repeated IVF failures, recurrent pregnancy loss and severe male-factor infertility.
How long does an IVF cycle take?▾
From the start of stimulation to retrieval — about 10–14 days. If a fresh transfer is planned, the full program takes 18–22 days. With frozen transfer, the patient returns home after retrieval and comes back separately for the transfer.
